Magaalo Cad Water Dam & Resilient Water Systems

The Magaalo Cad Water Dam & Resilient Water Systems project secures sustainable access to clean water in drought-prone regions of Somalia by constructing a water dam and community-managed water distribution pipelines. The project strengthens water security and climate resilience while improving reliable access to safe water for local communities.  community-led water infrastructure. It mobilises diaspora contributions through the Sokaab crowdfunding platform, which uses a matched-funding mechanism supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to finance.
