Tourism Marketing Strategy to Mitigate the Effects of COVID-19
Supported by the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF), the National Tourism Office (ONT) of Comoros launched eco-tourism packages, covering outdoor adventure activities, gastronomic experiences and cultural site visits, for the local people to showcase their cultural heritage and environmental consideration. The Comorian diaspora populations are a key target market for this strategy, aiming to connect diaspora back to their heritage while contributing to the local economic recovery after the pandemic.
