In November 2025, the Consul General of Angola in the United Kingdom and diaspora organisations celebrated the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence through a meeting. The event aimed to strengthen ties among Angolans through music, dance and gastronomy, as well as facilitate networking opportunities. The Consul General also reiterated the importance of regularising Angolan citizens residing in the United Kingdom and reafifrmed their committment to supporting the Angolan community.
