Mali held an International Forum of the Malian Diaspora in Bamako from 17–19 July 2025, focused on placing the diaspora at the centre of national economic development. The forum highlighted stronger support for diaspora-led projects, simplified procedures, trust-building initiatives and investment facilitation. It also announced measures to strengthen diaspora investment, including a one-stop investment desk, tax incentives and the planned creation of a Diaspora Investment Bank.
