The India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI) mobilises Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and overseas Indian associations to support sanitation and community development projects across India. Diaspora contributions have financed the construction of community toilets and sanitation facilities in several states, including Punjab and Andhra Pradesh (Vijayawada and Tirupati). IDF-OI implements the programme in collaboration with State Governments and local implementing agencies, which oversee project execution and monitoring.
