Fundraising campaigns

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a fundraising initiative of Uzbek diaspora in Europe (France, UK) launched the “Solidarity with Uzbekistan” campaign which provided food aid to 500 families in 4 regions of Uzbekistan. Also, some compatriots such as a Russian- based tycoon of Uzbek origin Alisher Usmanov have donated about $20 million to the “Mercy and Health” Foundation (“Mehr-Shafkat va Salomatlik”) for the fight against the coronavirus and for restoring the Uzbek economy.
