As of 2025, the portal is being developed under the ENGORA project implemented by the IOM and the Directorate General for Ivorians Abroad (DGIE). The portal aims to simplify administrative procedures for the diaspora and strengthen their ties with national institutions. It was created in response to the diaspora’s demand for updated, interactive and easily accessible digital tools.
