The IOM hosted the Diaspora Initiatives Stocktaking Workshop to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various diaspora engagement projects and activities being implemented in Mauritius. The two-day workshop was attended by representatives from ministries, the central bank, the national university, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). It aimed to share best practices in the development of effective diaspora engagement strategies, explore the Global Diaspora Policy Alliance, and provide tools, methods and strategies to maximise diaspora engagement outcomes.
