Capacity Development Lab: Diaspora talent attraction and skills transfer in Malaysia

With support from the EUDiF to TalentCorp – the government agency driving the nation’s talent strategy – Malaysia sought to benchmark its Return Expatriate Programme against international practices and to enhance its monitoring and evaluation of related outreach. The project included a peer exchange, which brought together both established and new players in Asia. The project contributed to a longer-term endeavour to develop a diaspora engagement policy which Malaysia began working on in late 2025.
