Burji District Borehole Project

The Burji District Borehole Project aimed to improve access to safe and sustainable water in Burji District, Ethiopia. It supported the construction of a solar-powered borehole, WASH awareness activities, and community-based maintenance mechanisms. The initiative strengthened local ownership and contributed to the long-term management and sustainability of the community water system. The project was administered by Grow East Africa (GEA), a project of the Diaspora Burji Community Organization, in collaboration with the Burji Development Association and the Burji District Water Department.
