In 2025, Liberia further strengthened its diaspora engagement efforts by launching the Diaspora Annual Return as a broader national initiative and establishing its first Senate Diaspora Caucus. These developments signal a shift towards more institutionalised diaspora engagement, aiming to enhance investment, skills transfer and the inclusion of diaspora perspectives in national policymaking.
