Free entry visas for African citizens and diaspora

In 2025, the Council of Ministers voted to make visas free for citizens of all African countries, including those in the diaspora. The decision aims to encourage pan-African integration, as well as promote Burkina faso as a welcoming land. It also facilitated the organisation of a delegation visit from the Institute for the Development of the African Diaspora (ADDI) in October and November 2025, which aimed to strengthen historical, cultural and economic ties between Africa and its diaspora.
