Led by IOM, in partnership with UN Women, and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the PROMISE programme aims to improve employment opportunities for migrants in Laos through enhanced skills and social protection. The project successfully launched MitrThai.com, the first online migration information hub for migrant workers in Thailand – a top destination country for many Laotian migrant workers. The hub provides information (available in Lao language) on migration to Thailand, as well as living and working there.
