ResilienceRemit
Funded by the EU and implemented by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a new €4.26 million initiative was launched to facilitate the use of migrant remittances and diaspora investment to contribute to climate resilience in rural communities in Honduras. The investment aims to reduce the cost of sending remittances and facilitate access to financial services for recipients, including savings, credit and insurance. In addition, ResilientRemit will also promote digital literacy and inclusion, especially for women and youth within migrant communities, to improve their ability to manage remittances and climate-related risks.
