The EDMEJ programme aims to strengthen the socio-economic inclusion of young people, Tunisian returnees, and the local communities in Tunisia. Its specific objectives include: 1) strengthening the capacities of Tunisian authorities to support sustainable (re)integration of the returning diaspora; 2) supporting a referral system and diversifying integration opportunities through targeted vocational training; and 3) mobilising diaspora investment to promote financial inclusion of vulnerable groups. Funded by the EU, the programme is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Creative Tunisia, and the Tunisian Foundation for Development, in collaboration with partner institutions in Tunisia.
