Uganda Diaspora Convention

In December 2024, Uganda held its inaugural Uganda Diaspora Convention under the theme “Mobilizing the Diaspora for Social Development.” Organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event brought together members of the diaspora, government officials, and development partners to strengthen collaboration on national development priorities. The Convention highlighted the critical role of the diaspora in sectors such as health, education, ICT, and agribusiness. The event is expected to become an annual platform for engagement, policy dialogue, and partnership-building.
