Modernised consular services

In 2024, Morocco introduced improvements to consular services for Moroccans living abroad, allowing them to access consular services at any embassy or consulate, regardless of their place of residence. The improvements were made possible by creation of a centralised electronic register with unique identifiers and upgraded digital systems, enabling MREs to book appointments and receive services like passport issuance, notarial acts, and legalisations from any consular location. Following testing in France and Spain in late 2023, the system was rolled out globally.
