Running since 2000, each summer the Mohammed V Foundation runs its summer Marhaba operation, a reception system to provide information and support to Moroccans in the diaspora returning to Morocco between June and September. The 24th edition in 2024 included services at entry points in Morocco, as well as departure points in France Spain and Italy, as well as a 24/7 hotline. The Marhaba reception sites offer a range of social assistance and medical care services coordinated between different institutions, ensuring a smooth transition for returning Moroccans. The organisers reported over 3.7million arrivals, up 10.8% from 2023.
