Non-resident Bank Verification Number (NRBVN)

Officially launched in 2024 by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in collaboration with Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS), NRBVN provides easy, remote access for Nigerians abroad to financial services, including BVN enrolment, bank account setup and remittance transfers. Nigerian diaspora worldwide can manage and monitor these processes through the NRBVN web-based platform with guaranteed secure transactions. As a result, it enhances financial inclusion of the diaspora and facilitates remittances as well as investment inflows to the country.
