Diaspora Liberians Annual Return (DLAR)

DLAR is Liberia’s annual large-scale homecoming event for its diaspora. The first edition in 2024 was organised under the theme “Liberia, the Destination of African Diaspora” aiming to reconnect Liberians abroad with their heritage and promote socio-economic development. The event includes cultural exhibitions, investment forums, guided tours of key sites, and youth empowerment programs. A National Steering Committee, comprising government ministries and diaspora organizations, oversees its planning.
