The Eswatini government and the UN International Organisation for Migration (IOM) are partnering on a diaspora initiative which aims to involve diaspora in nation building. The project will conduct a comprehensive mapping exercise that will also identify areas of interest for the diaspora and guide the development of future strategies to increase their participation in the social and economic development of the kingdom. One of the key outcomes in this project is to see the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation establish a diaspora unit.
