2018

Since 2018, with support from the IOM, the Government of Timor-Leste is developing a Migration Profile that will facilitate the identification of key migration issues and opportunities. The Migration Profile is being supported by an Inter-Ministerial Technical Working Group (TWG) with representatives including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Justice. In addition, the IOM is currently developing a study on the characteristics, competences and motivations of the Timorese Diaspora in the UK and Indonesia.
